Acceptable Use Policy

1. Illegal and harmful content

• Any unlawful activity, or processing files you have no right to process.
• Infringing copyright, trade marks or other intellectual property rights.
• Violating another person's privacy, including processing images obtained unlawfully.
• Creating, converting or distributing non-consensual intimate imagery.
• Any activity involving child sexual abuse material. This is reported to the appropriate authorities wherever we become aware of it, and the account is terminated immediately.
• Content that incites violence, terrorism or unlawful discrimination.

2. Security and integrity

• Distributing malware, or attempting to use the service to deliver malicious payloads.
• Attacking the service: probing, vulnerability scanning without permission, credential stuffing, denial of service, or bypassing plan limits.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling or attempting to extract source or secrets, except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded.
• Circumventing authentication, rate limits, paywalls or usage metering.
• Accessing accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to access.

3. Commercial and account abuse

• Fraud, payment abuse, chargeback abuse or account sharing at commercial scale.
• Scripted or automated account creation, and creating accounts to evade a suspension.
• Reselling, sublicensing or white-labelling the service without a written agreement.
• Scraping the site at scale, or automating the converter as a hosted backend for another product.
• Misrepresenting your identity or affiliation with us.

4. Fair use of shared resources

Plan limits exist to keep the service responsive for everyone. Sustained usage far beyond normal human use of a converter — for example continuous machine-driven batches around the clock — may be rate limited or treated as abuse even where a plan is nominally unlimited. We will contact you before acting where the behaviour appears accidental.

5. How this is enforced

Because conversion happens on your device, we do not receive your images and we cannot and do not inspect them. Enforcement is therefore based on account behaviour, payment signals, abuse reports and server-side activity — never on scanning your photos.

Depending on severity we may issue a warning, rate limit the account, suspend or terminate access, refuse future service, and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities. Severe cases, particularly those involving illegal content, are actioned immediately without warning.

6. Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action was mistaken, email info@heicconvertfree.com from the account address with the details. We review appeals by a person, aim to respond within five business days, and will reinstate access and refund any unused paid period where we got it wrong.
